The classic forest ride from the Deccan plateau down through the Nallamala hills to Srisailam. Past Mannanur the road enters the Amrabad tiger reserve, with hairpin sections and gated forest checkposts that shape the whole day.

Good to know
- Hyderabad's Outer Ring Road is closed to two-wheelers, so leave the city on the regular highways, not the ORR.
- Forest checkposts at Mannanur and Domalapenta stop traffic at night. Reports give 9 PM (some riders cite 9:30 PM) until 6 AM, so be through the gates well before dusk.
- Forest officials restrict stopping anywhere on the forest stretch and are adding speed signage because tigers are crossing the highway; ride slowly.
- Older reports describe hairpins and a pothole stretch near Eegalapenta; fill fuel before Mannanur.
- Srisailam town itself is in Andhra Pradesh.
